By late September, we start hearing the same question from the coaches and counselors we work with: someone just asked if they could pay for their sister's sessions — do I need a Shopify store? The answer is no. What you need is one page, written in your voice, that lets a generous person cover the cost of someone else's growth without a single awkward email.
Most faith-based practices leave money and, more importantly, care on the table here. A wife wants to gift her husband three sessions before Advent. A daughter wants to cover four months of coaching for her recently-widowed dad. A pastor's spouse wants to hand her husband a package of sessions with someone who is not on his elder board. None of those buyers want to book a discovery call for themselves. They want to pay, hand over a note, and step out of the way.
A gift page does three small things.
It names, in one sentence, what can be gifted. You can cover a single session, a three-session reset, or a full six-month engagement, for a specific person you love. No dropdowns, no tiers to compare. Just the same offerings you already run, framed as something one person can pay for on behalf of another.
It explains the handoff in the plainest terms. Once you check out, we'll email you a short PDF you can print or forward, and we'll write to the recipient when they're ready to schedule — never before. That last clause matters. The gift is a door, not a summons. A grieving father does not need a stranger's calendar link in his inbox the day after Thanksgiving.
It says out loud what you will not do. We do not send unsolicited follow-ups to gift recipients, and we do not add them to any list. One sentence, and the buyer relaxes.
The page itself is quiet. A short paragraph of context, three named packages with prices, a Stripe or Square link per package, and a note that gift credits are good for twelve months. No countdown timer, no "only three left." The tone is closer to a small bookstore's shelf card than a Black Friday banner, which is exactly right for the kind of person who buys someone else six months of care.
If you already know two clients who would use this page in October, tell us who they are and we will draft the version of this page that sounds like your practice.
